I imbibed the basic love and principles of cooking from early on and enjoyed dishing out simple, "easy to make‟ delicacies for my family. I got my first professional break while in Delhi, with a Bengali Food Festival at The Machan, Taj Mansingh and since 1998, have been intrinsically involved with Food Promotions at luxury properties and hotel chains across India. Have successfully program managed

the F&B end of East Indian cuisine across Taj Mansingh, Park Royal Intercontinental, Grand Hyatt, Kakatiya Sheraton, The Ambassador, Uppal‟s Orchid, Grand Intercontinental, Ministry of External Affairs – Government of India and The Viceroy, Hyderabad. As a Culinary Consultant, I am responsible for handling end to end resources for a food festival – designing, market estimation and listing, consulting on procurement, promotion and delivery. With a dedicated team of specialized cooks, I provide consulting services across several hotel chains and fine dining restaurants across the country, in addition to running my food catering business under the aegis - CALL OF BENGAL. Based between Hyderabad and Kolkata, I am pursuing a research on “lost recipes from medieval Bengal”.
