In Frame - Bhetki Paturi with Plain Rice ❤️😋
Bhetki Paturi is a well known Bengali side dish, where the fish pieces and marinated with spice mixture, wrapped in banana leaf individually and then slow cooked till tender.
Preparation is in below:-
Ingredients :-
1. Bhetki Fillets (4 pic)
2. Mustard seeds (2 tbs)
3. Poppy seeds (1 tbs)
4. Grated coconut (4 tbs)
5. Green chillies (4 pic)
6. Turmeric Powder (1tsp)
7. Mustard oil (2 tsp)
8. Banana Leaf (1 pic) cut into small 4 pic
9. Salt
Method:-
1. First, Boil 4 small pic of Banana Leaves for 4- 5 mins.
2. Second, In a mixer grinder make mixture of Mustard seeds, Poppy seeds and green chillies.
3. Third, take the grated coconut in a mixing bowl. Add the Mustard seeds, poppy seeds and green chillies mixture with that. Then add turmeric powder, and salt for taste and mix it well. Then give the fish fillets with the mixture and mix properly. Then leave this for 30 mins for marination.
4. After 30 mins, take one boiled banana leaf and place one fish with marinated mixture at the centre of the leaf. Then add ½ tsp of Mustard oil with that and place a slited green chilli on top of that.
5. Fold the banana leaf to make a square parcel and tie with thread that the parcel will not open while cooking. Repeat the process for all fish pieces.
6. Now take a frying pan and grease it with Mustard oil and then add the banana leaf wrapped fish pieces in the pan, close the pan with heavy lid and cook on medium heat for 8-9 mins on each side on a medium heat. Repeat the same process for all fishes.
7. Now serve the freshly prepared steaming hot Bhetki Paturi with Plain rice.
