Welcome to the world of tea. We hereby take you to Barpathar Tea Estate, a tea plantation started by Sri Balabux ji Sutodiya in the year 1924 amidst the jungles and hills of now called Karbi Anglong district of Assam. He started this plantation cm manufacturing estate facing all odds and resistance from the British Raj and proved an Iron Man. The Estate still nurtures some of its pioneer sections

of Chinese, Cambodian and Assam variety of plants which add to the unique taste of Barpathar Tea and is a rare one. Further adding to the taste is the age old manufacturing procedures still being followed. The Barpathar Tea Company Limited was formed in 1932 and grew many folds, very soon acquiring 5 more estates including one in Darjeeling and an office in London for direct exports. The company is now managed by its promoter family members:

2. Miss Pooja Sutodiya
3. Mr Harsh Sutodiya

Smt Madhu Sutodiya, wife of Late Om Prakash ji Sutodiya has been presented with the Business Women Entrepreneur Award by the Industry Minister of Gujarat through The Gujarat Chambers Of Commerce in July 2013. Introducing the Company to the retail sector, with the vision of making every home experience the taste of Garden Fresh Single Leaf Produce Cup Of Tea, Mr Harsh Sutodiya launched his Brand Barpathar CTC Tea on the online portal on the 18th of August,2013 celebrating his idol, his father's birth anniversary. The Estate which offers an experience of untapped nature with rivers and hills is a one hour drive from Dimapur airport in Nagaland and shares its boundaries with the Nambur Wild Life Sanctury which is a part of the Kaziranga National Park.
