Thank you Mr and Mrs Gosh for choosing to stay with us ,your first visit to this beautiful part of the mountains.
They began their journey exploring North Bengal, Darjeeling, and Sikkim, with plans to gradually discover more of the North East—Shillong, Arunachal Pradesh, and beyond—making it their yearly summer escape from the heat.

It was a pleasure hosting Mr. and Mrs. Dhurke from Mumbai — true globetrotters with a beautiful zest for life and a love for travel, good food, and joyful moments.

Mrs. Sujata Dhurke’s journey as a cancer survivor is truly inspiring. Despite all she has faced, she continues to radiate strength, positivity, and energy, supported by the deep love of her husband and children. Their bond and shared passion for travel is truly heartwarming.

She also brought along some amazing homemade Marathi masala and treated the non-vegetarian members of our family to a delicious chicken dish one evening , a memorable highlight of their stay.

Mansarover Homestay has always valued opportunities to connect with distinguished guests from around the world. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting Miss Vanibandana Pattanaik, Professor at Bangkok University and Chief Coordinator of the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women. During her stay, a seminar was organized at Kalimpong Primary Teacher Training College on women’s employment, migration, skill development, and the risks of women trafficking. She also visited the closed-down Peshok Tea Garden and interacted with local women’s self-help groups, encouraging skill development and awareness for better livelihood opportunities. A serene hike with our guest Mr Bose and Jose Varkey to Damsang Fort blends history with quiet healing. Built in 1690 by the Lepchas under king Gyabo Achuk, the fort once stood as a defense against Bhutanese forces before being dismantled during British expansion, leaving behind peaceful ruins. Today, surrounded by dense forest, the trail offers a perfect setting for forest bathing —where the calm atmosphere, fresh mountain air, and gentle silence help reduce stress and restore balance. It’s a place where history lingers, and nature does the healing. 🌿
