On 9 August at The Johri , these ingredients became a way of tracing older journeys of trade, migration and exchange across the Thar Desert 🐪

Inspired by Anoothi Vishal’s Anoothi Vishal acclaimed lecture ‘How Indian Food Changed the World’, the six course dinner explored how ingredients travel, change and become part of the food cultures of a place.

From Namak: The Ties That Bind and Sona Moti Tales to From Pepper to Lal and Travels of Sugar, each course followed an ingredient through its many lives, accompanied by spirits chosen to extend the story.

Join us for ‘Travels Through the Thar’, a six course dining experience inspired by food historian Anoothi Vishal’s lecture ‘How Indian Food Changed the World’, where every course traces the path of an ingredient that shaped civilizations 🌾✨
