Paaka

It is a constantly evolving space for cultural, artistic & communal activity in the guise of an organic cafe. It is located near Tellapur, decently close to the University of Hyderabad where it sits in humble contrast amidst the fast changing urbanscapes of the city of Hyderabad. Paaka was born out of an idea for a space where people from various cultures and walks of life can meet, connect, inter

act, exchange, experience, learn and so on. A necessity having created by the apparent absence of spaces that can facilitate such communes within the city. Thus, paaka provides such a platform for various underground and upcoming artists to collaborate, express and promote their respective art forms and various other local crafts and organising DIY workshops, talks and movie/documentary screenings for film enthusiasts. Paaka is also a place open to host travellers, budding artists, backpackers and couch-surfers where basic needs are taken care of in exchange for help around the place. It also encourages culinary enthusiasts interested in community cooking to contribute to a menu that is versatile and constantly changing.

‘Peace. Freedom’ being its recurring theme, Paaka endeavours to be a diverse multi cultural art/activity space. A place open to various ideas and possibilities to meet and collaborate on anything within a mutual interest.
