Punjab's Favourite - Dal Makhni and Butter Naan

Dal Makhani is a delicacy from Punjab in India. Traditionally this dal was cooked slowly, for hours, on charcoal. This gives it a creamier texture. It has ‘malai’ (cream) or fresh butter added to it. Lentils and beans are soaked overnight for at least 8 hours and gently simmered on low heat along with ginger, garlic and a few other spices (garam masala). These are then combined with a tangy masala base which includes onions, tomatoes (chopped or puree) or dried mango powder or even pomegranate seeds.

Our Special Amritsari Laccha Parantha.

Lachha Paratha has its origin in the state of Punjab. The term “Lachha” means ring in Punjabi, the dough is rolled into the form of ring, and is layered with oil to make it multi-layered. Its very tough to make a crispy Lachha paratha, in fact it is an art to make it perfect, but when eaten it is very tasty. The outer layer is crispy and inner portion is soft.
