Things one must remember when putting up a stall
1. The location matters. Your stall should be at entry or near entry point for people to notice you. Never take a stall at fag end of exhibition.
2. Also, carry flyers and pamphlets that interested people can carry back. Even if you are selling bestest product, remember marketing your product can take you far. You need to be selling even after exhibition is over.
3. If you are into food business, and wanting to put up a stall in a corporate. Then check if there is a canteen and if the product you are selling is already been sold in the canteen. If yes. then refrain from selling your product there as food prices in a corporate canteen is highly subsidized. So, sales will be less.
4.Check for open table and if one table can be given incase you don't need a bigger setup. Also check if you can carry your canopy. That reduces the charges applicable.
5. Ensure from the organiser that marketing posts have been circulated in social media including RWA groups.
6. Check from the event organiser if other participants are selling products similar to what you sell. For example, in an event I was selling Icecreams, the second participant was selling Kulfi and third one Chuski. So that impacted my sales a lot.
7. Try to do stalls near the place you reside so that you can make repeat customers esp incase of food items. I did a stall at CR Park. People loved my Icecreams but I cannot expect them to commute to Gurgaon to buy my Icecreams.
