Some connections are built quietly - over time, encouragement, and mutual respect.

and I had been connected on Instagram for years before we finally met. When I was in the US for work, she reached out. I realised she lived in another state, yet she still made the effort. Thanks to my friends who drove me across state lines, we met, and it felt effortless.

We spoke like old friends. Shared Indian breakfast and snacks, kaapi, and the kind of chai that stays with you. When I later thanked her for the warmth and hospitality, something even my business partner couldn’t stop talking about; she said:

“I’m unapologetically Indian. We don’t have to Americanize ourselves to belong.”

That’s when I knew she wasn’t just building another coffee shop. She was building something rooted in culture, generosity, and intention.

This reminded me why we do for what we do in F&B
it’s never just about the menu,
it’s about how you make people feel.

Thank you for everything you do

India International Coffee Festival 2026 was a three day storm of caffeine, creativity and pure talent!

Baristas from every corner of the region poured their hearts out at the National Barista Championship (Delhi Prelims Round) and the National Brewers Championship rounds in Delhi.

Big cheers to all the semi-finalists, our coffee culture exists because of you.

Here’s to the baristas who keep us going, one cup at a time.

Looking back at this year with honesty, not pressure. I tried, I learned, I showed up. That’s more than enough for me.

He didn’t just compete, he carried a nation’s dream on his shoulders.

October is over, but the ripple effect will stay forever.
If you’ve followed journey from NBC to WBC, you already know what he’s capable of. To the world, he’s a coffee man of India. but to me, he’s been a friend and brother for the last 8 years. We’ve travelled to every corner of this country together, countless trips, laughter, and moments that turned into brotherhood.

If only I could share our WhatsApp conversations, you’d understand the amount of hard work, heartbreak, and sacrifice behind this journey. There were moments when people backed out, plans fell apart, and every voice around him said “quit.” But he didn’t. He kept showing up with strength, grace, and quiet determination.

After 2 decades, India reached the WBC semi-finals again and he carried our flag there with pride.

Thank you for inspiring a whole generation of baristas to dream again. Like you said, Indian coffee isn’t just part of the global conversation anymore, we’re shaping it in our own way, because someone like you dared to believe.

The story isn’t over yet, this is just the beginning of a new chapter. New India and new era of coffee professionals.

.pitstop Proud of you my friends.
