JUST IN - 22 July 2026
โ†‘ Chatric Village, Kamjong, Manipur

The villagers of Chatric in Kamjong district have alleged that a bridge connecting their village to Kamjong town was destroyed by "Assam Rifles" this morning.

If the report is accurate, this deliberate destruction of a bridge by security forces is a reckless action that deserves unambiguous condemnation.

This bridge was not merely steel and wood; it served as a vital lifeline connecting an entire community to emergency healthcare, food supplies, and daily livelihoods. By destroying this crucial link, innocent civilians are left completely isolated, vulnerable, and facing severe hardship.

The targeted destruction of vital civilian infrastructure violates fundamental human rights and dignity.

We demand immediate accountability for this unacceptable act and the urgent restoration of safe passage for all residents.

THEY BURNED A FOOTBALLER'S LIFE.
Laitonjam Sanathoi. Former Indian Footballer. Destroyed.

3 months into marriage, armed Kuki refugee narco-terrorist attackers set his home on fire.
The Army refused to allow him and his wife to take out a single belonging.

Every Santosh Trophy photo.
Every FC Kerala and NEROCA FC jersey.
Every championship trophy and medal earned through years of sacrifice.
All reduced to ash.

Because of Manipur violence, Sanathoi was forced into a relief camp.
A national-level footballer who once represented the state was pushed to quit the game and survive on daily wage labor.

This is not collateral damage.
This is the targeted destruction of people, identity, dreams, and a nationโ€™s pride.

From national stadiums to relief camps.
From football to breaking stones for wages.
Manipur violence did not just displace him. It erased him.

How many more careers, homes, and lives will be burned before justice is delivered?

NH-202 CONTINUES TO BLEED.
Today, Kuki armed terrorists attacked Assam Rifles at Lungshangkong around 2:00 PM.

This is NOT an isolated incident. Repeated violence on NH-202 has already claimed civilian lives.
Naga youth strongly condemn this cowardly attack and the deliberate diversion from justice for 6 Naga civilians killed.

OUR DEMANDS:
Immediate operations in Litan & Yaolen.
Urgent review of SoO.
Swift justice for all victims.

A HIGHWAY. NOT A BATTLEFIELD.

Horrific attacks on civilians in Manipur | 29th May 2026, 11:00am-12:10pm

1. At TM-Kasom: Kuki terrorists reportedly opened fire during the funeral of an elderly villager who had died from kidney-related illness. Mourners came under attack.

2. NH-202 between TM-Kasom & New Heaven: A truck driver carrying essential food supplies was shot dead. Other Tangkhul civilians and drivers were ambushed.

Firing on a funeral and killing a driver transporting food for communities are inhumane acts. Praying for the victimsโ€™ families and for the safety of all civilians.

โ€œJustice, Not Propagandaโ€: NPNF Condemns Civilian Killings, Warns Against Communal Blame and Demands Immediate Release of Hostages
14 May 2026 | Nagalim

The Naga Peopleโ€™s Network Forum (NPNF) has issued a strong and comprehensive statement expressing deep concern over the escalating violence, communal tensions, and growing atmosphere of fear following the tragic incidents reported across Manipur on 13 May 2026.

In a press release issued on 14 May 2026, the organization strongly condemned the brutal killing of innocent civilians, including Reverend V. Sitlhou, Reverend Kaigoulen, Pastor Paogoulen of the Thadou community, and Wilson Thanga of the Chiru Naga community. Describing violence against unarmed civilians as โ€œinhuman and unacceptable,โ€ the NPNF stated that such killings can never produce meaningful solutions and only deepen the cycle of hatred and instability in the region.

The forum also raised alarm over reports of kidnapping involving innocent religious workers and civilians, demanding the immediate and safe release of all hostages without harm or conditions. The statement emphasized that targeting civilians and church workers during an already volatile crisis represents a dangerous escalation capable of pushing communities further into fear and mistrust.

In one of the strongest portions of the statement, NPNF warned against the growing spread of unverified narratives, communal blame, and politically motivated accusations attempting to implicate certain Naga groups without credible evidence or proper investigation. The organization cautioned that emotional propaganda, misinformation, and premature allegations circulating on social media risk inflaming tensions and widening divisions between communities already under immense strain.

Calling for restraint and responsibility, the forum appealed to individuals, organizations, media platforms, and social media users to avoid inflammatory rhetoric and exercise maturity in public discourse. According to the statement, misinformation and communal propaganda during conflict situations can become as dangerous as violence itself by destabilizing social harmony and obstructing peace efforts.

The NPNF further expressed concern over what it described as delays in official responses, rescue operations involving abducted civilians, and the lack of prompt clarity from state authorities regarding the ambush and related incidents. It demanded a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation capable of identifying the real perpetrators and ensuring accountability through due legal process.

Warning that continued failure to act decisively could force further measures โ€œin the interest of justice and public accountability,โ€ the organization stressed that restoring trust requires truth, transparency, and equal justice for all communities.

Reaffirming its commitment to peace, coexistence, humanity, and the protection of innocent lives, the NPNF concluded by urging all sides to reject communal hatred and work toward stability during one of the most fragile moments in Manipurโ€™s ongoing conflict.
