AVE MARIA CAFE started as my daughter, Alaana's dream of running her own pizza and dessert cafe some day, and my extreme love of food. The name is hers too - inspired by Schubert's original composition and popularized by artists like Andrea Bocelli and Paul Schwartz. AVE MARIA is our true labour of love, and many people
and factors have come together to make it finally happen - be it my long experience at D'lecta, the company where I work, the knowledge acquired during my interaction with Masterchefs of India, the success of CHEESECAKE REPUBLIC - a bakery run by my sisters in Mumbai, the photography done by Atul (gratis for AVE MARIA!!!), the design and logo done by Shruti Jalan (gratis for AVE MARIA), and the constant goading by my mother and my best friend Anant, who have encouraged me to actually go ahead and do this. It has been a truly enjoyable journey for us, and we have meticulously worked on building and creating an extensive range of all-time favourite cakes, pies, cheesecakes and desserts. We have experimented liberally and repeatedly with ingredients and methods to arrive at this range - and we are very proud of it. The emphasis at AVE MARIA is largely on taste and the idea is to give you something which you would want to eat more of - again and again!!! Everything here is fresh and hand made (so do ignore small changes in presentation). All ingredients are of the highest quality as we do not compromise - and do not want you to. So do go through our menu and give it a shot - and then eat away (or maybe lick away)!!! We do require 24-48 hours notice, and provide delivery at a charge. We cannot promise you nut or gluten free products at this stage. We hope you like AVE MARIA CAFE, and would appreciate feedback from you. And all suggestions are truly welcome.
