For people getting bored at home, if you are sweet tooth and have access to a few ingredients, you can enjoy one of the most prized dessert of India right at your home, cheaper than the ready made premix you get in shopping malls. It's Gulab jamun.

Recipe for Gulab jamun premix
9 TSP milk powder
3 and half TSP refined flour
1.25 TSP suji
1tsp baking soda.

For sugar syrup equal amounts of sugar, water and two pods of green cardamom.

Recipe
Make sugar syrup with the above ingredients by boiling them together.

For gulab jamun mix the above ingredients with some milk and curd and form a soft dough.(for a family of 4 kindly triple the recipe at least). Let it rest for 20 minutes. Then make small marble sized balls from this and fry till dark brown in oil or ghee in a low to medium low flame. Then dunk them into the sugar syrup and let it soak.
