Like a lot of creative teams, Maac and Vidur had wasted a lot of timediscussing the idea of starting an agency of their own, then they’d quietly gone back to creating fodder for client meetings. Sometime in September 2003 the agency latterly called temple met in one of Bangalore’s most haloed advertising hubs, Koshy’s. From here a series of attempts were made to convince Sriram Srinivasan and Arun Sirdeshmukh, that they should entrust a brand to three guys who worked out of restaurant on Saint Mark’s road. Sculler’s, temple’s first account, was all but signed up in October 2003. Soon after, in a fit of generosity, they moved a second brand, Indigo Nation, to an agency that still didn’t have visiting cards for want of an office address. Only in February '04 did temple finally have an office, four more heads, a coffee machine and a mouse that lived in it. The rest as the saying goes is a long story.
