Alister.Festo A Commerce- Managment Fest for Pre University Students of Christ Junior Evening College, that takes place once every year, usually around the mid year months.

Alister.Festo which is derived from a mixture of the Scotish word 'Alister' which means the Defendant and the Spanish Greek word 'Festo' which means Festival. It is a two day fest which allows all the students of Christ Junior Evening College a raw and stimulated version of the real life corporate world and its saga's.

Once again the time has come to recover lost glory... and the only way that I can show you is to rewind the clock itself...

"THE ORDER"- Crisis Management (Results)

A crazy task to end the tyranny, brought forward ideas so stupid, that even Einstein would have laughed. Some changed the world to solve this menace, the others made menace their alliance to conspire. But all in all, the task was ended. The Order was restored. Congratulations to the winners and we must say well done. And to those who didn't make through, we have just one thing to say,"No brain has one side." You guys were good too... just not good enough.

Dear Participant Finalists of all events... tomorrow is your big day. Alister 2013- "THE LAST STRONGHOLD" has finally caught hold of a date, and a good one indeed. Here is the schedule for tomorrows war front:-

11 am - 1:30 pm (Treasure Hunt)
2:15 pm - 3:20 pm (Product Launch)
3:25 pm - 4:00 pm (Crisis Management)
4 pm - 4:20 pm (BREAK)
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm (Business Quiz)
5:35 pm - 6:30 pm (Best Manager)

Hope you all are ready, and well prepared for war. All the best to each and everyone, and make us at Alister Core proud of ye.

P.S. All Treasure hunt finalists, your reporting time is 11 am in the kiosk near your block and please bring a camera, or a camera phone and some cash... (Rs.200- Rs.300 is fine). All BM participants, please bring your videos in a pen drive or CD and submit to us before 2 pm. And don't forget to bring what we asked you to. because you have one final round before you head stage. To all ye Product Launch teams, we hope your stuff is ready, if not... please get it ready. All ye merchants, please submit your synopsis, print ad and your model (optional) before 1 pm (we will be in the kiosk)

"THE LAST STRONGHOLD"- Best Manager (Results)

We are very disappointed on the way many of you are participating in this event. Its been 3 days, and we have got just a handful of reports and videos. Being a BM is not a treasure which you adorn with pride... its a challenge you fight with humility. We haven't seen your humility, yet. Alas, what ye did, and why ye did it, is not of our concerns. "THE MERCHANTS OF CZAR"- Product Launch (Round: The price of blood)

Since we have only received one report on the supply chain management, we are displeased and have no other go but to change that round. (But the points earned to that one team will be counted).

Merchants, your finals is on stage in a couple of day's and we want you to give it your best shot. The top teams which are announced earlier will have to stick to this check list.

1) Synopsis of the PPT
2) PPT of not more than 12 slides
3) A radio jingle for not more than 30 seconds ( You will have to sing it on stage)
4) A creative ads concept which you will have to enact on stage for maximum 2 minutes.
5) (OPTIONAL- for 50 points) Prepare a model of your product Package (eg. Synthesized Metallic Plastic bag for Lay Chips, Carton for Electronic Goods). Be creative and think outside the Box.

All of these components are to be submitted on Saturday 1 pm. Your event starts at 2:15 pm.

"THE LAST STRONGHOLD"- Best Manager (Round: Ashes from the North)

On this cold, lonely night... you hear horses galloping. You go out to see, but find them running free. You seem disinterested until, one of those horses drag a half dead body to your feet. It's your ally from the North. They have been attacked!

BM participants, you work in A&BB Co., which is situated in Bangalore, India. Your company a few years ago successfully ventured with a UK Small Capital Company called ParaCure Meds Pvt.Ltd. This company produces and sells medical facilities in the European markets. In the first few years, this venture was looking like a good keep, but since the past few months, your colleagues in that firm have been facing several management issues. The new management of ParaCure Meds Pvt.Ltd. has shown signs of suppressing the control of your firm. A&BB Co. is now sending you to negotiate with ParaCure Meds Pvt.Ltd. on the following terms:-
1) Percentage of Operative Control over this venture.
2) Limit of members in the Board of both companies.
3) Percentage of Profits from this venture.
4) Benefits given to employees during the period of this venture.
5) Proposal for a merger after the period of this venture.

Each BM participant (The top 11) will have to send a report stating his/her proposal of the negotiation to us in our mail id, viz. [email protected], and we will return mails to you stating our side of the negotiations. This round will end on Wednesday Night at 12am (midnight).
