Purple Haze has been rockin people for fifteen years and going strong. Rising indexes. Rising hemlines. A good time, we thought, to shake things up (and not a little). The nay sayers had a ball (“the market isn’t ready” they jeered). Trade mavens threw the unwritten rule book at us “thou shalt not try the untried”. We did something uncharacteristic for bangalore folks back then. We gave the proverbial finger. To the primal scream of Jimi’s guitar and ozzy’s heavy metal, Purple haze shattered the peace in pub city. A raw, orgiastic, ‘Rock on the Rocks’ tribute, if you will, To the ultimate gods of guitar. Fifteen years and legions of rock fans later, purple haze has become the rite to passage to rockdom.
