4 Reasons to Not Drink Instant Coffee!
1. It has limited mouth feel! That’s not how coffee is supposed to taste.
2. There’s no romance – there is no ritual in concocting your coffee just as you like it. You can’t delicately infuse those sweet coffee grounds with water to achieve a perfect extraction. You can’t capture and inhale the intoxicating aromas as they dissipate into the air. Instant coffee is just an aerated slurp and caffeine jolt!
3. Brewed coffee is better value! Sure, high-street coffee retailers like Coffee Day are overpriced. But at home, you can brew your cup of fragrant java freshly for less than the price of instant. The taste is at least 5 times better!
4. It doesn’t actually take that long to brew an artisanal fine fresh roasted coffee. AeroPress is 60-90 seconds, for a Hario V60 it takes 2 minutes, and an espresso (with a machine) takes an average of 25 seconds!
