Today was an extremely busy day for us, serving our customers continuously from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. During this time, we noticed an unusual surge in Google reviews for our restaurant.
At the start of the day, our restaurant had 68 reviews with a rating of 4.8 stars, which we had earned over the course of one month since opening. However, within a very short period of time, we suddenly received more than 40 additional reviews, causing our rating to drop to 4.4 stars.
After reviewing these submissions, we observed several suspicious patterns, including multiple reviews appearing to come from accounts that seemed unrelated but showed similarities suggesting coordinated activity. Based on these observations, we strongly believe that many of these reviews are not genuine customer experiences.
We would also like to clarify that we are not claiming that all negative feedback is fake. In fact, we have received two genuine 1-star reviews from actual customers, and we respect and accept constructive criticism as part of our journey to improve.
As a newly opened restaurant, we value honest feedback from our guests. We respectfully request everyone to support fair and authentic reviews, as they help small businesses grow and serve their customers better.
