Today I signed the adoption contract for Roger formerly known as Tiger. I have fostered him since February but there were some health issues we had to get under control before adopting. Roger is a character beyond compare and the sweetest boy.
KittyKind have been absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend them if you’re looking to adopt a feline.

Yesterday I attended the R A U L P E Ñ A R A N D A SS27 show with Ann Pennington and it was a really beautiful show. But as always at these events there’s always some bitch that steals the show. 😂 We had the pleasure of meeting the sweetest fashion pup Tika & Kala on the runway. Such a cutie! 💗

It’s a beautiful day for up-cycling! I hate getting rid of clothes so here’s how two old pieces become one new garment. The leather jacket I made for myself maybe 7 years ago. It’s perfectly fine but I don’t love the shape on myself anymore. The denim jacket was purchased at in London in 2001. It’s had its life but I don’t wanna get rid of it. So I’m combining the two for them to become a one piece layered leather over denim look.

Of recent I have got a lot of clients that I do alterations for and sometimes those alterations have taken on a life of their own and it has become a complete restyle. In this day and age of fast fashion it’s important to think twice before throwing clothing out so this is a great way to at least minimize the wear on the planet. 🌎

Happy Labor Day! As fall is upon us it’s time for some python jackets. This was a custom order from a few years ago. This specific python was from Roje Leather and I used this for quite a few orders, including for a jacket for myself. Great quality skins!

Time to obsess about this silver leather jacket! 🤩
The leather from District Leathers is cow hide (think biker jacket) and it came with a mirror finish which was a little too much for my client. We had the leather skived down to a garment weight and then I “manipulated” the leather by hand to soften it and to tone down the mirror effect. This also gives it a truly unique finish which will improve with wear. See the videos for before and after. 🩶

Wendy reached out to me in January on recommendation of Denis Usher as she needed an outfit for her sons wedding in June. I had met Wendy before but only socially so I didn’t really know her aesthetic as such, especially for such an occasion. We discussed different options for styles, she showed me dresses that she had looked at previously and we went through likes and dislikes. We ended up picking this beautiful, featherlight, floral cloqué from B&J Fabrics
I really couldn’t be happier with the end result!

I love draping silk chiffon. This crisscross design is for sure time consuming but so beautiful when it’s done!
