The Mahabali Hangover — This Sunday (5th September) at Madras House

Onam is over. Mahabali is still hanging around. So are we. 😎

So we’re doing it one last time — a relaxed Sunday with 20 Kerala favourites served on a banana leaf. From Inji Puli, Avial & Brinjal Theeyal to Matta Rice, Sambar, Rasam and Palada Payasam.

The first two days of our Grand Onam Feast have been everything we hoped they would be,
full tables, banana leaves brimming with colour, familiar flavours finding their way around the room, and the simple joy of sitting down to a meal that is meant to be shared.

Because Onam has always been about more than what is served. It is about gathering, abundance, hospitality, and making space at the table for everyone. And over these two days, we’ve felt a little bit of all of it at Madras House.

Over a thoughtfully curated meal, discover how mythology finds its way onto our banana leaf — through ingredients, traditions, rituals and stories passed down through generations.
