Okay, Trivia Time :)

*Nearly all smartphones sold in Japan are waterproof because people use them even in the bath. And we thought we are addicted.

*Japan consists of 6852 islands

*Taking a power nap at work is socially acceptable. Since work hours are long.

*And Slurping noodles is considered polite.

*More paper is used for printing manga than toilet paper :) did you check out our collection yet ?!

It's festive times both in Japan and India. While we are celebrating with lights and colors, Cities in Japan are hosting film festivals. Which are your favourites, share in the comment box.

We would include, Seven samurai by Akira Kurosawa, Graves of the firefly a sad but beautifully illustrated story by studio ghibli and hara Kiri.

The lull after the high ?! Come linger at your personal space at bento or the outdoor table under the canopy. You can just walk and get your dog too :) Soak in the festive Colors, hues of sky and some cold brew coffee.

Our coffee is made from specially sourced beans and pairs best with the Korean breads or some spicy edamame.

A sneak peak into our first collaborative effort of culinary and cultural crossover between Japanese and North East India. It was a four course Menu, including dishes like Harumaki, Chakao Kheer, Nimono, Mangan Ooti and many more.

March of 1944. After crossing thousands of miles, the Japanese met the people of Manipur, a state in the eastern fringes of India. From serene landscapes with cherry blossoms to the unique use of ingredients such as, soft sticky rice, rice liquors, fermented soybeans, fermented fish, and a range of herbs, indigenous to both regions, the soft-spoken people of Japan and Manipur drew several commonalities between their cultures. What could have been the start of a blooming brotherhood was unfortunately short lived. Despite several similarities, political agenda took centerstage. The Japanese were busy waging war against the allied forces of World War II, while the people of Manipur were merely caught in the tragic maelstrom of this historic battle.
 
June of 2022. We rolled out "Cultural crossroads", aimed at blending these cultures that was a rare opportunity to experience the tales of two fascinating regions through the language of food.

What do you call a friend in Japanese? Tomodachi :) however, if a friend is more formal, address him as, Yuujin. And what about your bff or the best bud, Shinyuu :)

Umm, if it's your love, say "koibito" softly ! Now say these all again, lest you might mix !
