our locations on googlemaps http://goo.gl/maps/UxBya These are the directions to the hostel: If you arrive by taxi from the direction of the train/bus station (east) then the hostel is just after the statue garden and Abu Nabut tomb. and can be recognised on your right hand side by a big colourful mural on its eastern outer wall. just circle the fence to the left and reach the gate, its got "47" spray painted on it. If you arrive night time, the gate is just next to the red lighted "SEAT" sign of our neighbours. If you come walking from Sderot Yerushalaim Blvd then we will be on the left side of the road after the Volkswagen mechanic. Arrival directions ( day time about 6:00-22:00 ) From Ben Gurion airport : take train to Hagana Train Station (12 minutes ride ) and walk west 2 minutes to Central Bus Station, -or take bus from airport straight to Central Bus Station ( 6th floor). from Central Bus Station take Line 41- on the "7th" floor, "Dan terminal". (frequency - every 20 minutes). after about 10-15 minutes ride get off on #32 Sderot Yerushalaim blvd (about 9th stop), walk down the street for 50 more meters till the lights cross the street left and continue walking past the fountain east about 5 minutes on Derech Ben Tzvi (or Izhak Ben Tsvi ) along the bicycle lane, cross another lights ( intersection with Shlavim st) and walk 50 meters more on the gravel road till you get to #47- The Overstay. ( just after a few car mechanics ) - Walking (25 minutes/2.5 k) - walk west along Shalma/Salame road or Levinski st ( depends on which side of the station you come out of) , then left on Hertsel street (after 10mintues) , Right on Derech Bentzvi (10 more minutes) until you pass a sculpture garden and an Ottoman Tomb and drinking fountain, we are just after it on the right hand side. Enjoy ! cold beer or soda await you here. ;-) There is a shorter walking route, if you feel like navigating, check our location on the map. Have fun ! A Taxi from central bus station or Hagana Railway station should cost around 35NIS, a 5 minutes ride. Welcome to the Overstay TLV Hostel. The Overstay TLV was opened July 2013, built with our very own hands by much recycling and the help of worldwide volunteers. It is gradually taking shape into the vision we had, when we first laid eyes on this concrete block. We would like to provide you with whatever we are looking for when we arrive in an urban hostel : hostel removed from the tourist traps but safe and fairly clean, a base that provides connection to alternative happenings and attractions in the city, and a house full of fun options to play, party and chill out. And of course..its affordable. If you are travellers or tourists, we would prefer to see you as our guests and not just customers, and so treat you accordingly with warm middle-eastern hospitality. Our guests enjoy free use of facilities and activities, such as wi-fi, computer, lockers, book exchange, warm drinks, kitchen and inhouse activities ,and we charge a minimum for the rest ( bikes, beers, camping gear rental etc ). And of course aim to give the lowest room rates in Tel-Aviv. Guests are asked to respect the place and other guests in dorms and common areas. Please keep your trail clean and your stuff organized, respect those who sleep at night time, take care of your hygiene and your language. The Overstay reserves the right to turn away individual guests and groups that misbehave. We do our best and learn as we go, much from our volunteer family and guests. You are welcome to initiate events and offer suggestions. We are aware of the fact that it’s a big space here and as much potential there is, so there is still work to be done. So please bear with us. If you are after “American standards” or hotel services then this might not be the place for you. Take it easy, you are on vacation. So come over and Overstay with us ! The Overstay Crew We have 9 dorm rooms of various sizes and 7 private one. some with air conditioning some with fans. A roof top bar, kitchen and communal indoor space.book exchange, lockers, free computer use, tourist desk, camping gear equipment, bike rental, cinema room, Sea breeze roof top chill out tent and court yard with swimming pool and pingpong. All showers and bathroom are shared. Clean linen are provided upon check in, and collected with the check out. Use of sleeping bags is prohibited in the rooms and dorms! Notice! we have an age restriction of 18-45. young spirits are welcome Passport with valid visa is a must. ( its a tourist hostel ) No smoking inside the building. groups of more than 10 should coordinate with management. For stay over 2 weeks contact us. Reception desk hours 8:00-24:00 . and someone mans it 24/7. Late night arrival no problem, Overstaying is recommended.
