I love the Golan. Yesterday I went for a walk with my youngest, we found a path behind the moshav and 6 km later we were in Eliad. How come I never took that walk in 12 years. As I walked I kept telling Odelia, "wow I can't believe how beautiful it is" several times until she said "I know, I know". The path runs along the high ridge of Nahal Elal, you can here the rushing river in places and all the wild flowers are in bloom. There was no one on that path the whole way. This is our back garden and we are blessed that we live here. And kol Hakavod to Odelia who walked 6 km.

BSD the nine days are upon us and I have fish in my mind...Today I'm going to cold smoke some premium cured salmon, with the signature smoke of Pecan. That's the big difference in taste, oak is great, but Pecan is better... sweeter, delicate and makes a very tasty smoked salmon. But hey, you don't need to take my word for it.
