It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Áine Scanlon, CEO of Cumann na Daoine.
Áine was a very special part of Cumann na Daoine. She was a much loved colleague and friend to so many, and her passing has come as an enormous shock to us all.
Our thoughts are with Áine’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
Áine’s funeral arrangements can be found at the link below.
As a mark of respect, the Cumann na Daoine building and Community Café will be closed to the public on Wednesday, 23 September.
May Áine rest in peace.

Culture Night is a national event, with lots of free arts and culture events on Friday September 18th. Below you'll see the full programme for Youghal. Cumann na daoine will host the East Cork Traveller Project's event 'Traveller Voices' - short music and culture films made by the Traveller Visibility Group. The Men's Shed is a space for men to get together, work on restoration projects, do some gardening - and relax and enjoy good company over a cup of tea.
