Session Etiquette
The weekly Monday night session at the Loch & Quay is all about having fun and enjoying the music in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere. Visiting musicians and singers are very welcome to join us but we do ask that the following points are observed which we feel will add to the overall enjoyment of the session:
*The session is hosted by Roger & Steven from Emerald Folk and of co
urse by Phillip Dowdall who is the proprioter of The Loch & Quay. Any enquiries about the session should be directed to one of the above.
*The session is an Irish folk/ballad style session. Visiting musicians and singers are asked to bear this in mind.
*The area where the musicians are seated is reserved for musicians & visiting musicians only. We invite visiting singers to make themselves known to us so that we can call on them to perform. We invite everyone else to take a seat, sit back, relax and enjoy the night.
*Musicians please take note: This is an acoustic session. Electrified or amplified instruments are not catered for. We would also ask that players of excessivly loud instruments please show some restraint in order to cater for singers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for joining us at our session and we invite you to post any photographs or videos you may have taken while at the session to this page.
