Our course which was upgraded in 2006, is a 71 par course measuring 5950 metres from the championship tees and provides a challenge for players of all standards. The fabulous summer conditions certainly brought out the best in this week’s competitions, kindly sponsored by Fehily's Pharmacy. Congratulations to Louise on a fantastic score of 44 Stableford points to take first place in the 18 Hole comp. A massive congratulations to all the winners from our 18 Hole Open Singles Stableford held over the weekend of June 27th & 28th, kindly sponsored by Bolands Wexford! 🚗💨

With 192 players taking to the course, competition was incredibly fierce. Here are the standout performances:

What a fabulous evening we enjoyed for our weekly Mixed Scotch Foursomes! It was warm, sunny and calm (a welcome change from the gusting winds), in other words, a perfect evening for golf. Our Minor Foursomes bowed out of the Inter Club competition today when they were defeated by Courtown GC. The score was 2-1 until the final match of the day finished in favour of the home side on the 17th hole in Courtown. Hard luck ladies. You were marvellous ambassadors for the club as you progressed to this stage of the competition. Today’s team was Lady Captain Liz D’Arcy, Denise Dunne, Mary Fallon, Bridgid Furlong, Trish Hanton, Mary O’Leary, Mary Rackard and Tracy Rossiter. Subs for the day were Maria Butler and Martina Dempsey.

The ladies rose to the challenge of the strong winds today to return some great scores. Well done to Leonie on winning the 14 Hole Stableford competition with 32 points and to Louisa on securing first place in the 10 Hole competition with 24 points. A special mention must go to Ailbhe, who seems to be in the prizes every time she plays this season, on taking second in the latter with another super score on 23 points! Well done everyone 👏👏
