I don’t know that anything can prepare you for opening a business. It’s a good thing myself and Matteo were young and naive when we started because even with a decades experience a piece, we were jolted out of any arrogance when we opened up first.
Little by little this bunch grew. Coming in and picking up tools and mucking in from the get go, adding their own flair for food, their craic and their kindness. It sounds cheap to say we couldn’t do this without them, but it’s painfully true! We have this solid team of creatives, organisers, makers and doers and they manage to pull this business forward in ways we couldn’t have imagined.
We absolutely love you guys

Coffee has been part of our ball game for years, we knew the ins and outs and yet nothing at all when it came to espresso, filter, cold brew you name it. Matcha is new territory for us, but we wanted to keep to the same standard as our coffee. It needed focus and attention and a lot of taste testing, a labour of love for our barista Kate.
We’re delighted she discovered .omma and that they have taken us under their wing and are guiding us through.

What a gorgeous weekend, full of blue skies, happy heads and delicious doughnuts. The bakery has been pumping out some really incredible flavours and we are only too happy to do some quality control.
This week’s flavour was burnt honey and caramelised white chocolate.

This French toast is a real celebration or citrus season, with blood orange, clotted cream and a heavy sprinkling of pistachio

Iseult was a truly kind, strong and generous person. As a gang we always perked up when she called in for a cappuccino and a chat. If you can, pop in to the hall to support her memory and celebrate her birthday over a cup of coffee and cake.

There will be a coffee morning in memory of our friend and committee member Iseult Bouarroudj (nee Hearne) in The Hall - Fethard on Sea Community on Saturday 28th February. All welcome and all proceeds towards The Oak Ward Waterford Hospice. Donations can also be made via the QR code on the poster.

We’re in the middle of redesigning our Fethard on Sea space. The talented eyes of are guiding us through.
A new kitchen space and coffee bar will enable us to have a more seamless service and reopen for dinner. It’s an all heads in operation, where to put the hot tap, how to manage till systems and polishing stations. Lots of potential mistakes to be made, but if we get it right we’ll feel the difference this summer.

It’s never moved from our menu and she probably never will. It was the first toastie we brought to New Ross and has rooted herself in this little business. A comfort food no doubt on watery winters days

Oh it’s so good to be back in Fethard on Sea!
These wild, wet days and a little visit to Turin have inspired the addition of Italian beans complete with house meatballs to the menu. Comfort food at its tastiest.

Christmas Opening Hours!

As a gang we will be taking some glorious time off to celebrate with our family, to wind down after an incredible year and to restructure and bring some projects to life.
This year has been magic, one for the books! The weather brought us an incredible summer, full of bags of chips, sea swims and ice cold pints. We got hitched and had a ball in the wilds of West Cork and have spent this season planning and scheming as only these quiet months allow us to.
We’re looking forward to 2026 but are sad to see 2025 go. Thank you for your love, friendship and support. We as a team are absolutely fuelled by it.
Much love to you and yours this Christmas time.
