GROW HQ GROW HQ is an urban food centre where people come to learn to GROW, COOK and EAT home-grown food. Everything we serve in GROW HQ is nutritious and healthy.

GROW HQ encompasses an award-winning café, organic kitchen garden, education centre and working farm in Waterford. It is the home of the GIY movement and a working model of a sustainable food system. But equally important, it’s delicious. We’re not vegetarian but we do have a passion for vegetables. They’re often the undisputed stars of our menu, and rightly so. We celebrate each new harvest - the

first peas, the last squash - and avoid out-of-season imports. Which means our menu changes all the time. Sometimes daily. Always delicious.

Our GIY for Beginners course is designed for complete beginners and those looking for a refresher.

In one practical, hands-on day you’ll learn essential growing skills, build confidence, and leave with a personalised plan for your own growing journey.

Plus you’ll enjoy a delicious homemade lunch, and spend time learning in our gardens with like-minded people.

The garden team were up bright and early this morning harvesting potatoes from our polytunnels before it got too warm.

We’ll be open tomorrow right through to Sunday, 8am - 4pm, so you can enjoy some delicious food or a coffee in the sunshine ☕️
