The Mountain That Connected Us ⛰️✨
It started with a mountain,
a quiet picture on the wall,
a peak that carried stories
far beyond the room and all.
A couple from New Zealand
came to Ireland for a stay,
to share a meal, to wander,
to enjoy a gentle day.
Their eyes fell on the mountains,
captured in a photograph bright,
and curiously asked,
“Is this from Nepal?”
“Yes,” we said with smiling hearts,
“that mountain feels like ours too.”
And suddenly a simple moment
became a connection new.
The mountains watched between us,
silent, ancient, and wise,
as we shared the story of Sir Edmund Hillary,
who first reached the Mount Everest! ✨
With him stood Tenzing Norgay,🩵
a brave Sherpa by his side,
their historic climb of Everest
became a journey of pride.
They shared how Hillary loved Nepal,
how his heart stayed near the land,
how he helped Himalayan communities
with kindness from his hand.🤍
And there, in a corner of Ireland, 🇮🇪
with the mountains looking on,
a New Zealand couple and a Nepali couple
shared a beautiful history gone on.
For mountain lovers ,
mountains are more than landscapes,
they connect hearts across the sea,
across oceans and nations,
they remind us of our shared humanity.🙏🏻
