In Loving Memory of Christy Leahy

It is with great sadness that we remember Christy Leahy, who passed away on Sunday.

The relationship between The Castle Bar and Christy goes back to the mid-1970s, through his involvement with St Brendan’s Park FC and the many wonderful years of support he gave the club. A connection built on friendship, loyalty and community, it is one we will always cherish.

That bond continued in 2010 when Christy formed our Thursday Night Poker Club, bringing together so many people over the years and creating lasting friendships, great memories and a real sense of togetherness. What Christy started has become so much more than a poker club — it has become a community of friends, and his influence will always be part of that.

Our sincere condolences go to his wife Helen, daughter Sandra, son Sean, and all of Christy’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Christy leaves behind a wonderful legacy of friendship, generosity and community spirit. He may be gone, but the memories he created, the friendships he helped build and the lives he touched will ensure that he is never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Christy. You will always be remembered with great fondness at The Castle Bar.
