A very special visitor to the bakery today as President Catherine Connolly popped into The Auld Mill Bakery on her way to Clonmel.

The President enjoyed a coffee, picked up some of our delicious seeded brown bread, and took the time to chat with staff and customers. It was a real pleasure to welcome her and her team.

We’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful, scenic place 🏞

One of the simple joys is passing The Auld Mill Bakery in the morning, with the smell of fresh bread drifting out onto the street. It’s those little moments — warm loaves coming out of the oven, friendly faces saying hello, and the peaceful charm of our neighbourhood — that make this place feel like home.

It’s easy to take it for granted, but places like this, where nature, community, and everyday pleasures come together, are truly something to appreciate.
