Dear friends and customers,
We wanted to share with you our news that we have decided to step down from The Village Kitchen.
It is with some sadness, relief and excitement that we do this.
Sadness from all the friends we have made through serving you over the years. Relief that the decision which begun as a thought a few years ago has finally been made and excitement about what the future holds
The Village Kitchen was Barbara’s brainchild which started with a kettle and an aga oven back in 1979. She worked tirelessly over the years only taking Christmas day off. She would always make sure people were welcomed and made to feel at home. She catered to prince’s and paupers who all left feeling as if they had just left the family table.
To this day, she would still make sure no one went hungry.
We were always fortunate to have an amazing team of staff who treated the place like it was their own. It was due to their hard work, energy and cheerfulness that kept us going all these years.
To our loyal customers, many of whom have become friends……we appreciate your custom, loyalty and friendship and will miss the many laughs and stories we shared over the years.
So, with that I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting this family business over the last 46 years and we hope to meet you again.
We’re thrilled to say that the doors won’t be closed for good and from tomorrow, Adams Kitchen will be opening its doors. We wish our former head chef Adam and partnet Iwona every success on their new adventure.
(All Village Kitchen vouchers will be honoured by Adams Kitchen)
