NOTE XMAS OPENING HOURS TO BE PUBLISHED SHORTLY OPEN 7 DAYS FROM 18TH DECEMBER TO 4TH JANUARY 2026) The pub is owned and run by ‘John & Lorna’ who are passionate about keeping people at the heart of Austies, a place for locals to unite & connect and visitors to be welcome and enjoy true Irish friendliness and the informal hospitality of

the pub. The Restaurant has great views over the harbour offering casual dining (Thursday - Sunday but closed on Wednesdays ) with good quality fresh food, locally sourced where at all possible with daily specials. A Children’s Menu is available and the ‘Old Bar’ is 'Pet Friendly'. Small parties and groups can also be catered for either in our lounge area. There is an outdoor seating area food food and drink during the summer months.

We are so sorry to advise that due to recent fire damage, we are temporarily closed while we understand and manage building and repair works needed to safely reopen to our valued Customers, Staff & Suppliers.

It is particularly heartbreaking as we are about to kick start the peak Summer Season and of course welcome the Annual Shanty Festival this weekend.

We will do our best to get open as quickly as possible however we cannot currently advise on timelines.

We are contacting our Customers with bookings and events that we have to cancel or that may be affected and if anyone has any queries regarding their bookings, you can contact us by emailing us at [email protected] or calling us on 071 911 7786.

We would like to thank everyone for their great messages of support and thoughtful good wishes. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Austies as quickly as possible.
