Customer & Community Notice – 66 Bridge Street courtyard & enterprise
We would like to let our customers and the wider Skibbereen community know that the courtyard at 66 Bridge Street Restaurant will remain closed until further notice while we work with the relevant local authorities to ensure that all necessary licences, applications and requirements are fully in place.
We would also like to clarify some information that has circulated on social media. The courtyard was never intended to become a new pub or b**r garden, nor is that our intention for the future.
The space was created as an extension of 68 Bridge Street Restaurant and with the local community in mind — somewhere that could provide a welcoming community space, including a place where young people and families could gather and where parents could safely meet or collect their children.
We are disappointed that the purpose of the courtyard may have been misunderstood or incorrectly represented, and we want to reassure the community that our intention has always been to operate responsibly and respectfully.
For now, the courtyard will remain closed while we work through the appropriate processes with the relevant authorities.
68 Bridge Street Restaurant remains open as normal, and we sincerely thank all of our customers and the local community for their continued support and understanding.
