Due to the requirements of COVID-19, Island Cottage has decided not to open the restaurant or offer cookery courses this year 2020. The gallery will be open as usual, John has been painting throughout the winter and hopes to continue doing so during the summer. This will be the first time in 30 years that we will not operate Island Cottage restaurant. We are going to enjoy this unexpected free time, next year will be another year. At this point offshore islands will welcome visitors from the 20th of July, that is phase 4. We wish all of our customers a safe summer and we sincerely thank them for their custom over the past 30 years.

Our evening meal season starts today 15 June till the 15 September. We do not offer lunch during this season. We will offer lunch again during the off season months of April, May to 15 June 2019.

Come and enjoy the music event by the renowned Múscraí singers in the gallery, tomorrow Sunday, 3pm to 4.30pm. Admission €10, all proceeds will go to CoAction. Continuous ferry from Cunnnamore 2pm and from Heir Island after the recital.

A very successful exhibition on Friday evening at Ivan Wolfe, a big thank you to Micheál O'Crualaoi for his delicious fillet steak and Karwig wines for a great choice of quality wines. At this point an amazing 38 paintings have been sold. Also thank you Ivan for the beautiful framing of the paintings. Exhibition will continue until 7 May. A few photos of those sold.
