We woke up this morning with texts telling us of the passing of Offaly's great hurling Captain and legend, Padraig Horan. There have been so many just tributes about him today already. We at McIntyre’s, want to acknowledge and thank Carmel and family for the gathering of friends, neighbours and fellow team players to show the Laochra Gael episode on Padraig on TG4 in February last. We were honoured and delighted to do this with you. We are so sorry for your huge loss and may Padraig now Rest in Peace.

We are serving food Friday & Saturday 4-8pm, Sunday 3-8pm. We have Ray & Alan playing Sunday afternoon at 3.30 and an old fashioned cream and butter making exhibition at 4pm Sunday, just after high nelly cycle! Please join in the fun at some part of our weekend 🚲❤️🥂

A lovely weekend promised. It's our annual Shannon Harbour fundraiser. Great family event. Come & join this fun cycle. It doesn't have to be a high nelly bike. If you can't make it, tickets available at the pub for draw.🚲

What a fantastic tribute to our dear friend, Valerie Flynn, who sadly passed in December 2024. She and I had organised a night of bingo with fantastic prizes, mostly gathered by Val that October. Thanks to everyone who supported that night. It really meant so much to her.❤️ 2 cheques totalling a staggering 10,000 euro were presented recently with proceeds from the bingo night, a table quiz in Paddy Flynns Pub, Val herself and subsequently a fundraiser from her grandchild Isabella, New York. Cheques were to Friends of the hospital, Tuilamore and the Patient Comfort fund. Thank You Val, family and friends 🙏

The 53rd Barge rally takes place this weekend 19th, 20th and 21st June. We are delighted to welcome the many boaters and visitors to Shannon Harbour and our pub. Serving food Friday, 4-8pm, Saturday 4-7.30pm and Sunday 2.30-7.30pm.
