O’Reilly’s Pub was established in 1922 and has been the pub of choice for discerning Sandymount residents – and non-residents – for over 90 years. O’Reilly’s is currently run by T P O’Reilly, whose father Patrick also ran the pub for many years with his brother Tommy. The rear of the pub boasts a beautifully landscaped beer garden which is perfect for cool drinks on a rare sunny summer evening. Th
e pub is popular with locals and non-locals alike and in addition to all the normal range of beverages you would expect, O’Reilly’s also serves freshly made plain and toasted sandwiches, Tea and a range of Coffees. O’Reilly’s is a favourite venue for armchair sports fans and all major sports events can be viewed on the large screen TV's, including Soccer, Rugby, Gaelic Games, Golf and much more. O’Reilly’s is home to an active Golf Society, named after the pub. The current Captain is Stuart Kent, the Vice-Captain is Peter O' leary and Frank Carroll acts as Honorary Secretary. There are frequent competitions and sweeps for regular customers, based mostly on sporting events. We currently run a "Last man standing" competition based on the English Premiership.
