🍰 There’s homemade… and then there’s Hanna & Kole homemade!
Another gorgeous cake made from scratch by our very own Hanna & Kole here at The Melting Pot Café. ❤️
We can’t promise there’ll be a slice left if you take too long getting here… the staff have already been circling it! 😂☕🍰
Pop in, grab a cuppa and treat yourself to a proper bit of homemade goodness.
Made with care, served with a smile… and very hard to say no to! 😋

🥁🎃 Anyone fancy taking part in something a little different? 🎃🥁

We’ve been asked to spread the word about a lovely opportunity to take part in the upcoming Samhain celebrations in Roscommon Town.

They are currently looking for adults and teenagers who would like to join a series of drumming workshops followed by the Samhain procession later that evening.

🥁 Drumming workshops:
1.30pm – 2.10pm
2.40pm – 3.20pm
3.50pm – 4.30pm

🔥 Procession: 6.00pm
The procession will last approximately 30 minutes.

No previous drumming experience is needed and the drums will be provided. Participants just need to be able to carry their own drum during the short procession route.

The important bit: anyone putting their name forward needs to be available for the workshops and stay to take part in the 6pm procession.

It sounds like great craic and a brilliant chance to be part of a really special community event in Roscommon. 🥁🔥

👉 Interested? Send us a private message and we’ll pass your details on to the organisers.

Places are limited, so get in touch if you’d like to take part!

POV: You signed up for a nice, relaxing volunteer driving job… 🚗😌

🚗 Could you spare a little time to make a big difference? ❤️

We are currently looking for a volunteer driver to join our Dinner4U team and help us deliver hot dinners to older and vulnerable people across our community.

It’s about much more than delivering a meal. For some of our customers, our driver may be one of the few people they see that day — a friendly face, a quick chat and someone checking in can mean an awful lot. 💚

If you enjoy driving, meeting people and would like to give something back to your local community, we would love to hear from you.

Even helping us one day a week could make a real difference.

📍 The Melting Pot, Castle Court, Castle Street, Roscommon
📩 Send us a private message or get in touch with us directly if you’d like to know more.

Please share this post — our next wonderful volunteer driver might be someone you know! 🚗🍲❤️

🍂 Hello October! 🍂
A new month, a fresh start, and a little reminder that sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference — a kind word, a friendly smile, a cup of tea and a chat, or simply making someone feel welcome. 💛

At The Melting Pot, we believe everyone deserves a place where they feel included, valued and part of the community.

This October, let’s continue to look out for one another, support good mental health and make sure nobody feels left out. 🤝🌈

Stronger communities are built when everyone has a place in them. ❤️
