Just to let you know what we're about in As You Like It...

We take our name from the Shakespearean play, inspired by our close link to The Venue Theatre and Cultural Community Centre in Ratoath Village, Co. We opened our doors in September 2007 with a genuine enthusiasm to enhance the overall experience of visitors to the Centre. We've always believed in offering quality local food, cooking it fr

om scratch daily in our kitchen and serving it with a smile. We are also proud to report our plans to grow our own herbs and vegetables in liaison with the newly developed Growing Together project. Our stylish surroundings combine cosy 'n chic with old 'n new, where you can wash down our truly good food with carefully chosen wines and beers, topped off by specialty coffees made by our experienced baristas.

I did say I wouldn’t go quietly but my goodness you all made sure of that 🎉🍾

It was so lovely to recall your memories of the times & occasions I was blessed to share with you all. I have made amazing friends among you & no doubt we will meet around the village when I’ll be at my leisure !

A bittersweet update - Myself and ‘As You Like It’ are taking our final curtain call this Friday October 11th. Please join us to celebrate the end of an era and the beginning of what I hope will be just as fun filled and busy a retirement! We will be raising a final toast on Friday from 5-8pm but please pop in at any stage during the week to say goodbye.

I have had an amazing 19 years in Ratoath building this business with the most wonderful customers, staff and business community anyone could be lucky enough to work with. And in such a great location, having had a wonderful partnership with Ratoath Community Centre & The Venue . I feel very lucky to be going out on a high!

Fear not, you remain in safe hands! I’m delighted to share that a new venture will be opening soon after our closure and that you will continue to be greeted by some wonderful new faces, but also most of the team you already know and love. More to come on that soon.
