JEFF'S FAREWELL PARTY THIS SUNDAY NIGHT @ 9p.m ALL WELCOME

After much deliberation & despite countless efforts on my part it is with great sadness & regret that i announce this weekend will be my final weekend in Connie K's. Unfortunately due to rising insurance costs/vat rates/ supplier price increases/sugar taxes to name but a few & undoubtedly heavily contributed to by Fine Gael's Mr Ross has certainly put the last nail in rural Ireland s coffin it has made survival virtually impossible & leaves little future hope of improvement.

I started in 2015 aspiring to make my future in Rathmore working in the industry i was brought up in and loved so much from a very young age. To say i am heartbroken is an understatement but unfortunately our government doesn’t care about the current descolation that has been bestowed on rural Ireland . Rathmore and surrounding areas like all of rural Ireland has seen mass emigration of our youth with no efforts made to keep our children in their homeland. History seems to be repeating itself as our ancestors had to emigrate to America and England and here we are in the 21st century reliving history we thought we would never see again. Regarding rural Ireland it seems we take one step forward and two steps back. Unfortunately unless i can replace Mr Higgins in the àras it is somewhat out of my control.

Despite all of the above most importantly the message i send today is a HEART FILLED THANK YOU to my customers/staff,family & the many friends i have made since i came here in 2015 for your continued support i am forever grateful.
As i move on to the next chapter in my life i would like to wish you and your families a lifetime of health & happiness and look forward to meeting you all in the future...(i'm not leaving the country please do stay in touch)
