From tonight, our house Venetian Aperol Spritz has a new partner in crime... the fabulous HUGO! 🌿✨

Made with Prosecco, elderflower, fresh mint, and a squeeze of lime, it's crisp, refreshing, and made for long summer evenings at Contrabando Café. ☀️🥂

Before serving it to you, our two cocktail heroes had to do the "hard work" of tasting a few recipes... 😉🍸 And of course, Nico was there with his ever-present camera, ready to catch them in action—this time posing proudly next to our brand-new oil painting, freshly arrived from Venice! 🎨🇮🇹📸

Contrabando Faces ✨

Last night we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Fergus Ryan and his lovely wife Sarah to Contrabando Café for pizza, a glass of wine, and of course… tiramisù 🍕🍷🍰

Fergus is one of Ireland’s finest artists, and we are lucky enough to have him just a few doors away from us. I couldn’t resist taking my camera out to capture this truly unique character.

Born in Dublin in 1948, Fergus is an acclaimed realist painter whose remarkable work has been exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy, the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts, and the National Gallery of Ireland. His paintings are part of the Government of Ireland State Collection, and he was awarded the RHA Senior Artist Prize in 2020.

We love you Fergus and Sarah — thank you for spending your evening with us ❤️
