It was 1986, one morning at 10am, when Declan walked into a new barbershop on Lisburn Road in Belfast for a haircut. He had long hair back then… and walked out with a brand-new fashionable short haircut. ✂️😎

A few hours later, his twin brother Martin — who had absolutely no idea Declan had been there that morning — walked into the exact same barbershop, with the same long hair, ready for his own haircut. 😂

I can only imagine the barber’s face when he saw him coming through the door… probably thinking:

“What the hell is this… a joke??” 😂😂

Meet our amazing twin brothers, Declan & Martin, straight from Belfast, who come twice a week for their favourite coffee and chamomile tea ☕️🌼 before heading off to the Portmarnock Golf Club for a few sessions of caddying. ⛳️

Thank you, guys, for making my week with this amazing story — and thank you for being such a wonderful part of the Contrabando family. ❤️

Contrabando Faces! 🎸☕

Meet Maciej Maciej Bliziński !
There's hardly a day that goes by without seeing him at the shop..

A true musical Swiss Army knife, Maciej plays bass, guitar, double bass... and probably anything with strings if you leave it unattended! 🎶 He's also an excellent sound engineer, so whether it's making music or making it sound amazing, he's got it covered.

Today he dropped in to work on a friend's track while fueling up with our signature FIT-ZY breakfast and, of course, a few coffees to keep the creative engine running. ☕⚡

And his favourite spot in the shop? Easy... right under our guitar, of course! Some people have lucky stars—Maciej has a lucky guitar. 😉🎸

Thanks, Maciej, for filling the shop with music, good vibes, and plenty of laughs. We're lucky to have you as part of the Contrabando family! ❤️

From tonight, our house Venetian Aperol Spritz has a new partner in crime... the fabulous HUGO! 🌿✨

Made with Prosecco, elderflower, fresh mint, and a squeeze of lime, it's crisp, refreshing, and made for long summer evenings at Contrabando Café. ☀️🥂

Before serving it to you, our two cocktail heroes had to do the "hard work" of tasting a few recipes... 😉🍸 And of course, Nico was there with his ever-present camera, ready to catch them in action—this time posing proudly next to our brand-new oil painting, freshly arrived from Venice! 🎨🇮🇹📸
