We were delighted to take over the Bookshop & Cafe last Friday and have enjoyed a busy few days, with family, friends, and members of the community calling in to wish us well. A special mention to the fantastic staff who have truly taken us under their wing.

We would like to thank Mary Angela & Pat for their kind support and guidance during the takeover. We wish them both a very happy and healthy retirement.

We are excited for the future of the Bookshop & Cafe and look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers.

As you are probaly aware by now Mary Angela & I are retiring from Oughterard Bookshop / Cafe on 26/2/26. We are leasing the business to well known local couple Eoin & Marie McDonnell who will continue the Bookshop / Cafe business in it ‘s current form.
We would like to thank everyone who supported us since we opened, especially local people ( Oughterard & surrounds) who made it possible to remain open over the winter months.
We are sure you will continue to support Eoin & Marie as they bring Oughterard Bookshop Cafe into the future.
We would especially like to thank our staff without whom our endevour would not have been possible.
Delighted to hear that Eoin & Marie will be holding onto our present staff.
