I know I left you all in suspense on Sunday evening when I said I had some big news to announce! Well the wait is over … Spoon and Spatula is moving to Australia! 🇦🇺

And quite soon! I will be taking orders up until Christmas and then will be closing up shop here in Mullingar.

Keep your eyes peeled for my Christmas menu which I will be posting tomorrow - I have limited availability but wanted to offer something to my wonderful customers to have your last Spoon and Spatula fix!

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have made it possible for me to bake and sell my cakes since moving to Ireland, it has literally been a dream come true ❤️

It’s not goodbye just yet, you’re stuck with me until January

Tell me you love cake without telling me you love cake: have a wedding bake off!

6 months ago today, I spent the day making my way through an AMAZING selection of cakes baked by myself and my wonderful friends and family ❤️

Amongst the 20+ bakes were rum-soaked fruit cake, coffee cake, Biscoff cake, a Bakewell tart, a chocolate violet cake (that came to a friend in a dream!), chocolate truffles made with mashed potato and a vegan chocolate babka!

The winner was Craig’s delicious Black Forest gateaux (which I don’t normally like) that had made the journey on the train from Scotland!

Jill’s husband ordered her a mini version of their wedding cake from the summer as a surprise for her 30th birthday - what a great edible gift!

Inside is raspberry and white chocolate cake, filled with raspberry jam and white chocolate buttercream and covered in silky ganache ❤️ a simple crown of buttercream swirls adds the finishing touch
