A New Chapter Begins in Mountmellick!
We are delighted to officially introduce the new proprietors behind the exciting transformation of Turley’s Bar, Joanne Deegan and Barry Liscombe.
Soon to be known as The Old Canal Gastro Pub, our new name pays tribute to the historic canal that once flowed behind the building, celebrating Mountmellick’s rich heritage while embracing an exciting future.
With a state-of-the-art kitchen currently under construction, we’re working hard behind the scenes to create a gastro pub experience that combines great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere for the whole community.
Joanne, a proud Mountmellick native, returns home with a passion for hospitality and a vision to create a place locals can truly call their own. Joining her is award-winning chef Barry Liscombe, whose reputation for creating exceptional gastro pub dining experiences has earned recognition across Ireland, including Michelin Guide recommendations and multiple industry accolades.
Together, we can't wait to welcome you to The Old Canal, a place for great food, good company, and community spirit.
