So tomorrow we say our final farewell to Noel. It’s just so sad. He was one of life’s characters knowing so many people and so many knowing him as he always took the time to chat and had a word for all.
There’s a vacant feeling when you think that there will be no more confusion over “whose pint of Heineken is whose”, no more “Balls” after throwing a bad score and no more to see him hunch the shoulders with long outstretched arms with that cheeky grin on his face that says “that was easy” after a really good score or a class finish and we saw lots of that smile. And no more scores of 196 with 3 darts when he was chalking the board!!! But we all have great memories and the lads have great stories of him. The dynamic of the A team will change but they were and are so close that Noel’s spirit will be with them for sure.
And so to Sandra, The Butler family, his friends and all who mourn him we are truly sorry.

WOW what a fantastic weekend in Mohill for The Connacht Fleadh, it was so good to see the town thronged with people from all over the country and further. So much talent on show particularly heart warming to see so much young talent. Fionnuala Maxwell thank you so much you are an absolute credit to firstly yourself and to your family and all those who helped in the organisation of The Fleadh. Well Done

The A team
We lost the final last night to a strong O’Callaghans team well done to them they’ve been chasing the cup for a few years and played exceptionally well last night even though there were some close games and could have gone either way. I have to mention David Louie, Barry Bohan , Ray Mulvey and of course the multi talented Kealan Murphy👏

For us we knew it was going to be a tough game
but we are a steadfast and resilient team and we will be back PG. Again we are proud to have you and to witness just how valiant you all are.
Life is sometimes crazy but relationships are what grounds us and we are lucky to have two amazing teams in the bar who each gel perfectly.
Thank you to our A and B teams who gave us great enjoyment and we will expect great results next year from our B team who move to the Shield and to the A team who will fight to reclaim “our” cup 😉🤣
Well Done to all the organisers the stage gets better every year, fabulous job.
Also congratulations to Carroll’s bar on winning the Shield.
