I've always loved making cute Christening cakes 😍 And it's always special as it's a child's very first cake. I've been so lucky that there are some families where I've made the Christening cake and every birthday cake after that for years. I feel blessed to have been a part of those all important memories.

I can honestly say I've had the week from hell, but this vintage inspired Lambeth style cake for Brenda and Michael, and the subsequent message I got from them, was the absolute highlight. Making somebody's day extra special, whatever the occasion, is the best part of this job, and never underestimate the power of positive feedback, it's always truly appreciated 🥰 I absolutely love going to Ballyseede Castle Hotel aswell, because I get to make a fuss of their two giant Irish Wolfhounds. Those dogs are absolutely HUGE 😍

A very happy 80th birthday to Theresa. I won't lie, this cake worried me in 28° heat. With no sugarpaste for stability, a stacked buttercream cake is at the mercy of the elements, and the addition of a lot of heavy handmade sugar flowers just adds to the possibility that something could move in transit or when set up. Thankfully all was well and I think we can all agree I got Theresa's age wrong on the sign, there's no way that lady is 80 😯
