Hi everyone! We opening tomorrow from 10 till 2.00, mainly because some of you want to pick up stuff you bought and also just to clear out what’s left!!! Last day for sure!! To all our customers! We are completely overwhelmed with your response to us closing down! We felt relieved and positive about our decision and now we crying for the last 2 days! Wow! Thank you so so much and for all ye who rang us pleading us to stay open!!! We on one level would love to stay open but that would only be from our hearts not our heads! End Of An Era

To all our customers. After much thought we have decided to close The Hungry Bookworm for the last time. While some of you think it may be sudden, to us it’s been coming for a while! It was a difficult decision for us to make but we believe it’s the right one as rising food costs, ever increasing energy bills and wage increases are proving too hard for us to continue. We’d like to thank all our customers who stuck by us since our move from Abbey Street, through Covid and still kept returning! We’d also like to thank our staff who were with us over the 12 years we were in business and in particular Deirdre and Hannah Shalvey who stuck with us till the end! We’ll miss what we created and what ye our customers brought into our lives and especially all the children that grew up with us!!! We felt we put our heart and soul into the Bookworm and we will certainly miss it! In saying that we’re relieved that the stress and worry is over for us and we are excited for the road ahead!!!

We have decided to open a pop up shop this coming Friday and Saturday from 10.00 to 3.00, we want firstly to have a chance to say goodbye to you all and also to empty the bookworm of books, memorabilia etc hope to see ye then and for the last time Eat Read Love!!! Angela and Alice. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi everyone! Sorry not a hope can we open tomorrow! We had to completely replace kitchen ceiling due to water damage, also electrics had to be redone!
So sorry but we definitely will be open at 9.30 Friday morning!!! 🙏😊
