It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Colette, of An Sibín.
Here in the village, with only two pubs, there was always a little friendly rivalry between An Sibín and the Log Cabin — and Colette and Mono certainly knew how to keep an eye on each other! 🍻
In fact, the price of a drink was never going up in one pub without a quick word with the other. There may have been a bit of competition, but there was also a great deal of friendship, respect and good humour between them.
Colette was much more than the owner of An Sibín. She was a familiar face, a character, and a big part of village life. Her pub was a place where people met, celebrated, laughed, argued, told stories and made memories.
With Colette gone, the village has lost one of its own.
Our heartfelt sympathies go to Colette’s family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her,all her Sibin family

And don’t worry — we’re sure Mono will keep a close eye on the prices… just in case you’re checking in from above! 😉
As a mark of respect to Col, The Log Cabin will be closed on Monday 10th. Reopen as normal Tuesday 11th.
