First look inside our new location on Thomas Street 👀

An update for everyone asking how things are coming along! 🔨

Works are well under way here on Thomas Street. Before being able to the place look how we wanted, we had to strip it right back to its bones, rewiring & re plumbing the entire place. Our walls and ceiling have now been lime plastered, with our ceiling fixture also added & our light fixtures starting to go in 💡

We are a few weeks out until we’ll be ready to open our door and welcome you in, but for now we wanted to show you what’s happening on-site and keep you updated 🔨

We’ll keep you up-to-date on everything going on here so be sure to keep an eye out and follow so you don’t miss our updates 📍

Sweetshop - blend: 50% Mexico 50% Colombia: notes of ripe passion fruit, mango and pineapple 🍍

New Location 📍

We are excited to announce we are opening another store!

So, why another store?

We’ve been thinking for a long time about creating a space that’s design-led, community focused & true to what Rift has always been about, quality & people.

We want to create a space that can grow into a hub where designers & creatives connect, share resources, & support one another.

Coffee is still at the heart of it and what we do best. It will be the foundation that keeps the doors open and allows us to experiment with this idea further.

The focus will be on material, design, sound, & quality. We hope it becomes more than just a place for really good coffee.

We won’t pretend it’s an easy time to be in hospitality. Like many, we’ve had to adapt, learn, & keep moving forward. This new store is part of that evolution, and a chance to do something we believe in.

We don’t have an opening date just yet. We’re doing a fair bit of the work ourselves & managing things carefully, but we’re aiming for mid-spring.

More soon and thanks, as always, for being part of what we love to do.

Brand refresh

We started off with our original logo back in 2016, designed by a friend in LSAD studying for his degree. Thanks Adam! Although we love it & it will be hard to see it go, we must grow & change along with our business.

Our new branding was designed by Rachael Drennan : a graduate with a First Class Honours in Graphic Design Communication from LSAD. Rachael is a great designer & you should keep an eye on her work as she is incredible. Thank you Rachael.

We wanted something that suited the grown up version of who we have become; something playful but confident & I think we nailed it.

We hope you like it as much as we do, you’ll be seeing new cups, bags and stickers along with an array of lots of exciting things to come 👀
