It is with a mix of sadness and deep gratitude that after 60 years, we have made the difficult decision to take a step back due to health-related issues and an increasingly challenging hospitality sector and close our doors of The Golden Grill this Saturday 20th June for the final time.
What started as a small and simple dream to serve the people of Limerick a plate of happiness, a place of comfort, of conversation and laughter, turned into 60 wonderful years - something we never would have imagined all that time ago when it first began.
These four walls have seen our history, these bricks know it all. They’ve seen us cry and listen to laughter, and watched my children grow tall.
These 60 years have gifted us fond memories of late nights and friendships we will treasure always. We are so proud to have gotten this far. This has been an incredibly difficult decision but it is the right time.
❤️To each and every one of our customers, we want to sincerely thank you for your loyalty and support. It has been an absolute privilege to serve you throughout all these years. We have fond memories of handing out bags of chunky chips lathered in enough salt and vinegar to singe your sinuses! Thank you to all our incredible suppliers for your friendship and professionalism, and to each of our friends, thank you for the love and support. Without it, we don’t know where we would be. ❤️
We hope to see as many of you as possible over the next few days and celebrate the memories we have made together. Come in for the last bag of fresh fish and chips just like Papa used to make!
