We’re getting our glasses ready for the eclipse-are you???? We’re pairing it up with a fabulous Cahors Malbec from the lovely people at James Nicholson Wine Ltd , soft, fruity and only 12.5% abv. Perfect!!!

Even faster than that-the last order was in at 7.31pm!!!! We had almost 300 people on the website trying to order tickets-apologies to those who didn’t manage to get-we are working on some events ourselves for later in the year-but keep an eye on our socials for any cancellations!!!!

It’s amazing who you’ll bump into when Kinnegar Brewing have an event. There was definitely some talk of the next and even some talk of a skydive that John and Jimmy Stafford are (reluctantly) looking at for next year some time!!! Keep an eye on the socials this week to see if any details get firmed up!!!! Reminder we are closed tomorrow but back at it Tuesday morning!!

The seat told us-and it wouldn’t lie!!!! Here’s our staff picks for the day. What are you having???

1) El Abuelo Sparkling-crisp, fruity and lots of bubbles!!! A firm fav.

2) Villa Wolf Pinot Gris-a relatively new(to us) wine that is flying off the shelves-peachy with a creamy texture.

3) Quinta de la Rosa Leve-a lower alcohol medium bodied wine that keeps all the profiles of a traditional Douro-we’re enjoying it lightly chilled!

4) Rover Cottage The Redstart-Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall definitely had days like this in mind when he was coming up with this wine. An elegant, light bodied rosé from the Languedoc.

5)Kinnegar Jackrabbit-For the non wine drinkers-a perfectly thirst quenching ginger beer from the Irish beer maestros. Pour over ice, stick in a bit of lime and a dash of bitters if you find in the back of the press-delightful. (There’s also a non alcoholic version in case you’re driving or if you want to make some cocktails)

You might notice a wee change when you’re in the shop-the big yellow shelves have gone to a new home. We’ve decided to put Donegal front and centre, so we have products from the best greeting you as you come in the door( and .mead still have to remain behind the barriers-but we’ve a plan in the works there)

Pop in and see the amazing Donegal produce-we have a feeling we’ll have to invest in more shelving soon!!!

Was great to have the team in last week before the match for a coffee-even if it didn’t go Donegal’s way! We’ve had a few comments that maybe the and the lovely atmosphere here in cafe had something to do with their win-and while we aren’t saying it did-we’d like to invite the team in for one, on us, before the big match this weekend! We’ll be open our normal hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday if they want to call in at their own convenience-but if we need to open for a hour early Sunday morning before they head for Dublin just let us know and we’ll be up and ready!! We can even check if
is up and about since he’s taking some of the credit for last week in Ballybofey😂. Tag some of the lads in case they miss it!!!
